Open source software
Hi there, from past few months I am coming across with the term OPEN SOURCE TECHNOLOGY.. I had made a small presentation on this topic in my class as well as I got a chance to attend a seminar that was conducted by FOSS ( Free Open Source Software ). It seems to be quite interesting ... Open Source software is a place or a platform where one can put up there creativity , make modification on the exiting software and launch it to any one to use it.

Open source is the last nail on the coffin of the big brothers like Microsoft and.....to know more about opensource visit http://www.ubuntu.com.And read the success story.We must use these programmes and encourage others to use this.Also visit www.openoffice.org....I would like to know some information about remote sensecing , GIS and similar technology on opensource platform(If there is any such services).So publish an article on this subject... Surajit
